Scope of qualification
Able to plan, manage and evaluate EOTC activities that meet New Zealand curriculum objectives.
This qualification recognises the holder's ability to safely and effectively organise, run and debrief low risk activities in a park, urban or semi-urban area for a school. They are fully aware of and can comply with the Ministry of Education's EOTC guidelines for teachers. They must be operating within the scope of an school's safety management plan.
Re-registration criteria
This qualification has no re-registration requirement.
Professional development: Expectation that person undergoes ongoing training - covered in attestation
Experience as Leader/Instructor: Expectation that person has recent work experience - covered in attestation
Personal Experience: Expectation that person has recent personal experience - covered in attestation
First Aid/CPR: Current 1st Aid certificate
Attestation: Employer or Principal or Assessor of qualification attests that that the candidate is current in knowledge, skills and experience, fit for role and of good character
Police Check: Yes - include in attestation form
