Raft Guide - Grade 2
Core Elective: Standard 31712 (Demonstrate knowledge of river rescue skills and techniques for Grade 2 rivers) and 31711 (Demonstrate knowledge of and apply introductory raft guiding skills). Plus, First Aid Unit 6400 or equivalent. Plus, 10 hours on moving water up to and including grade 2.
OR
Unit Std 21282 (demonstrate basic raft guiding skills on Grade II whitewater) plus First Aid Unit Std 6400 or equivalent plus 30+ hours raft experience.
Scope of qualification
Guide clients on Grade 1 or Grade 2 rivers under the direct supervision of a senior guide
Understanding and applying introductory raft guide skills; and understanding river rescue techniques for Grade 2 river.
Re-registration criteria
This qualification has no re-registration requirement.
